Starting Again

Elder Millennial Starts Over!

Remember when we thought we could be anything we wanted? From aspiring rock stars to tech geniuses, the world was our oyster! Well, I’m using that 90s spirit to dive headfirst into a new career, armed with skills I’ve honed over the years—like a unscratched CD or a VHS tape that’s still in perfect condition...

Skills I Already Had:

  • Communication: I’ve spent years leading staff meetings, staff training sessions, evening talks to teenagers and other time on stage speaking to crowds.

  • Problem-Solving: I once fixed my own dryer using YouTube and my improv skills. I've also used problem-solving skills in the wild ride that summer camp is. I've done a lot of flying by the seat of my pants through audio difficulties, comedy skits, staffing changes and more.

  • Creativity: I've designed merch, promotional posters, sticker and websites. I've chosen music for videos, an evening youth program and mixtapes..cough I mean playlists. I also love playing drums and guitar, crocheting, taking photos, and drawing.

  • Tech Savvy: I'm definitely the tech support person for my parents, but seriously figuring out tech things just come naturally to me. Give me half an hour with a program and I've probably got it figured out.

Embracing the Change

Sure, some might say I’m having a mid-life crisis, but I prefer to think of it as a “mid-life renaissance.” I mean, if I can survive the rise and fall of boy bands or Y2K , I can handle a career switch!

What’s Next?

So, what’s the plan? I’m diving into the exciting world of Radio. With my background in public speaking, making mixtapes, and a knack for social media, I’m ready to share music with you!
